Newpol are delighted to be collaborating with Fontic to deliver Stage 4 at Mount Lilydale Mercy College, which will involve the construction of a two-storey building, designed by Cirillo Architects.
Once soft demolition is complete, Newpol will commence the installation of a bored pier retention system, which will structurally support the existing building and enable excavation of the steep embankment on the ground floor. Once both levels have reached lock-up, we will break through to the existing facilities on the first floor to complete the refurbishment.
Upon completion, the ground floor will house staff offices, while the extended first floor will feature two dining spaces, a commercial kitchen, additional offices, and a ministry lounge.
A covered walkway along the entire north elevation will be constructed. Landscaping, which includes a new decking area, has been thoughtfully designed, to highlight a significant tree on the grounds.
